Fall 2007 the Federation determined that the catering kitchen or warming kitchen for visiting caterers needed updating. We have received $11,500 of the $16,800 necessary to complete the renovations which replaces two gas range stoves with a commercial size gas stove top, convection ovens, and warming drawer. The kitchen walls will be lined with base cabinets, yet still room for the commercial refrigerator and standing ice maker. Also, a beautiful granite topped island will give caterers working in the warming kitchen plenty of surface area to handle trays or multiple plates being served. We have started the remodeling with the money raised by our members, personal gifts donated by individuals, and $5,000 from the Grassman Foundation. We only need $4,500 to complete the task! We are stepping out in faith that we will receive those funds for this exciting project that will give the Federation one of the finest catering kitchens in Macon.
