The Neel House, the former home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph N. Neel, Sr., was designed in 1910 by Georgia's famed architect, Neel Reid. The historic home, located at 730 College Street, is available for rental for weddings, receptions, parties, and other special events. The house is also available for group tours for a nominal fee by appointment.


The Neel House is also the Headquarters of the Federated Garden Clubs of Macon, Inc., organized in 1934, and is used for their meetings and programs.


The Federated Garden Clubs of Macon, Inc., is a non-profit council of garden clubs whose purpose is to promote civic beautification, gardening education, and environmental conservation. Federated Garden Clubs of Macon, Inc., is a member of the Garden Club of Georgia, Inc. and the National Council of Garden Clubs, Inc.
